Greetings,
I am trying to understand on the Dream Station software basic Dream Mapper what Respironics considers to be an excessively high leak, which might affect my CPAP therapy results. Specifically my reading was mostly 100% successful leak rate but for the last 2 months, it has dropped to varied 90% success and usually around 97% compliance. I realize there are a multiplicity of reasons for a leak but I am pretty sure as my airflow increases to close to the max of 10.5 and movement of my head in the night, I have gotten use to the airflow noise and do not wake up constantly to adjust and as a result this less than 100% therapy is occurring. Should I be concerned about my therapy if the compliance is in the 90% and up? In other words is this considered an excessively high leak overall? I would appreciate your thoughts on this topic.
Thank you.

Re: Dream Station Mask Leak Recording
10% of the night in large leak would be approx 42 minutes our of a 7 hour night.
While not the end of the world I wouldn't want to see that amount of leak night after night.
3% of that same 7 hour night would be not quite 13 minutes and I wouldn't give that amount of time in large leak much more than a second glance.
Assuming that leaks aren't waking a person up....sporadic short lived times in large leak aren't going to make much of an impact on therapy.
When your machine reports 97% leak number...that means only 3% of the time in large leak.
What you can't see is just how big the leak might have been. You probably need to be using the software to see just how bad the leaks are and how long they are lasting.
Sleepyhead will work fine with your machine.
