Where do you get this information? He only mentions FFMs in his post:

I have always worn a large ffm and use the Airfit F 10 large now. The F20 is too big for her but is just right for me. It is one size larger than the F10. I can't wait to try it tonight . Very excited .

However when you switch to a full face mask then the mouth get pressurized but you are not used to it. So the pressure in the mouth inflates the cheeks. You can overcome this Chipmunk appearance by developing facial muscles to tighten up the cheeks. Or tightening the mask straps to do it for you, and possibly leave marks. This effect is common to all face masks when the pressure in the mouth is elevated, regardless of the mask.
I am not so experienced except for my own CPAP therapy. But this sounds like it is mostly incorrect.

Have used the Airfit F20 for Her med for 2 nights. AHI .16 and 0. No leaks. Untreated AHI 78. Similar numbers to the Airfit F10 large but much more comfortable . Cushion is much improved and fits noticeably better around eyes. No cinching required. I've always been a large in QFX and F10. The medium F20 fits perfectly. Magnets are better than the F10 loops. Headgear is similar. Night 1 headgear was cinched too tightly and had some strap marks . No cushion marks. For night 2, Pad-A-Cheek headgear pad was used along with much looser cinching from what I'm used to and resulted in no marks, no back of neck pain, no leaks and 0 AHI. This cushion allows me to cinch looser than with all previous masks. Sizing difference must be noted. Will be keeping and ordering a small for my wife who normally wears medium ffm.

Good for you!
On a side note, well-fitted full face masks ELIMINATE chipmunk cheeks;
because they EQUALIZE the air pressure between nose and mouth,
allowing one to breathe through the mouth as well as the nose.
Note, the forum member who has it backward wears a NASAL mask.
I have worn BOTH, and prefer nasal pillows because of minimal contact.

From looking @ info and pics on the F20, it is designed to go under the chin. I don't know why. The med on me sits where the F10 and other masks sit on my face....1/2 way between lower lip and tip of chin. My wife, who the F20 med was intended for, tried it on and said it was too big not knowing it should go under her chin. I will have her try it again.... maybe it will work. I know the med on me (a large) fits perfectly and do not know how it could be better by extending over chin .

What info are you looking at that indicates mask should extend over chin? I have been looking at product descriptions and so far I haven't seen that info... The Product Features section on cpap.com says "The InfinitySeal™ full face cushion attaches to the frame, extending from the bridge of the nose to below the mouth." And the only thing I could find in the Resmed description talks about being sure the cushion is settled at the bridge of the nose. Did some info come in the package with the mask that talks about or illustrates the mask going under the chin? I'm asking because I'm thinking about trying out this mask. I am very happy with the Amara View but may want to alternate mask types at some point...

Sleepychar.
Look at the cpap.com product photos for the F10 and F20. The bottom of the F10 falls in between lower lip and tip of chin. The F20 extends to the tip of chin and possibly further. As a long time Resmed ffm user this is immediately noticeable upon putting it on. Have not tried a large F20 so I can't say which is better. My wife did not like the extended F20 med. in her normal med. size and will get a small. Again, I'm a solid large in every ffm I've ever used and the F20 Med is perfect for me.

What do you mean by writing F20 med, what is "the med", is it medium?

you probably shouldn't use pictures of masks on generic plastic display heads as fitting guides.

Thanks, cokomo, for explaining where you got your information. And thanks, palerider for the links showing the picture of the mask on an actual person and the fitting guide.

Printed out the fit guide and I am a large size cushion, different than all my previous FFM's -- used medium cushions for the F10 and the Simplus. Makes a difference to actually fit it!

Update. The sizing of the F20 Infinity Seal cushion is a little different from the F10 but not nearly as different as I first stated. I am a large in both masks. The new cushion is very comfortable and does not require cinching to prevent leaks. The cushion and the frame are not held together very firmly unlike the F10. The F20 air diffuser is much noisier than the F10 diffuser. Still trying to get used to the noise. The new magnetic strapping clips are ok but the old Quattro FX clips worked as well or better. I want to like the F20 but really only like the Infinity Seal cushion and would prefer to see Resmed make the same cushion for the F10 frame and air diffuser/elbow.

First night with the F20 last night. Highest leak was 10 but I had an uncomfortable night. I found I had to tighten the mask a lot which ends up being counterproductive. I think the cushion is a size to big for me, even though I used their sizing guide.
