New Machine - not working for me

Post by BenKes » Mon Nov 21, 2016 2:56 pm

I moved from a ResMed S8, which is slowly wearing out, to a AirSense™ 10 AutoSet.
I don't get restful sleep on the new machine. I'm using the same mask and hose
In fact, I can move back and forth. With the S8, I wake up rested, and with the new one, I wake up tired.
There is not leakage and the sense says the mask fits well.
I took the machine in, they checked and both machines output the same pressure.
They can not find anything wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure how much longer my S8 will hold out.

I'd gues that it's a setting.
e.g., min, max, pressure support, humidity, etc.

"both output the same pressure" can have different meanings. Details matter.

Unfortunately that's often the case.
Even more so if they're the cause of the problem.
I'm not saying there's a cover-up.
Just that the average skill level is disappointingly low.

Write down _all_ of the settings on the S8.

Then get the manual for the A10 and go through it carefully.
Have the machine in front of you so you can check each setting.

See if there are differences.

Here's a link to your Airsense 10 Clinical manual if you don't already have one. https://sleep.tnet.com/home/files/resme ... -guide.pdf
