Effect of colds and flu on treatment

I have a bad cold with flu like symptoms. My AHI has increased form around 1 to about 4. Is this to be expected with a cold?

Yes. Increase your humidity. Put some Vicks/Tiger balm on a piece of cotton near the air intake. You need your cpap more now then at other times. Plus it helps clear your nose.

CPAP's effect on illness

Cpap helps me heal faster, and the airflow makes breathing easier.

That's tough. I have to keep my nasal passages open with afrin sometimes because I use nasal pillows. Sometimes I crank up the pressure levels a little during colds.
