Does anyone have experience with this humidifier? I am finding that the Transcend is almost unusable for me without humidification because I get such sinus congestion. I'm thinking of springing for the humidifier, but the reviews are quite mixed. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Re: Humidifier for Transcend CPAP
Not very many Transcend users here but maybe a couple.
Do you do much traveling? Is that why you opted for the Transcend?
If not I would look at this humidifier. It's what we call a stand alone humidifier and will work with any machine. I have never heard of a complaint about this one.

Otherwise wait and see if many Transcend users here (there aren't many) happen to use that machine. A couple that I know of who do use it don't use the humidifier with it.

Pugsy:
I travel several times a year, and the Transcend CPAP is SO convenient except for the humidty issue. I"ve been trying the heat moisture exchange add-on, but it isn't enough moisture for me, I don't think.
This Fisher and Paykel humidfier might be a better option for me than the Trancend humidifier. It seems to be smaller and lighter, and about the same price. The reviews are more positive. Would love to hear if there are users out there.
I never would have known about other options -- thank you so much for this tip. BTW, I've learned so much from your posts over the past few months. You are awesome, a godsend for some of us trying to educate ourselves. Thanks for being there.

Re: Humidifier for Transcend CPAP
When I first started therapy some years ago the F & P humidifier was used a lot more than it is now.
So many of the machines now either have integrated humidifiers that are easy to add on or are already built in so the F & P probably isn't looked at all that much.
I did look at it when I first started therapy but the machine I bought had the humidifier that I could easily attach and it worked fine for my needs so I never got a chance to try the F & P. I know a couple of people who probably still use it but they are no longer active on the forum.
We may have a handful here now and I hope they can stop by and offer their input.
