I'll be looking to see when it is listed on cpap.com and at what price with the return insurance.
I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't have free return insurance. Seems like all the new masks in the last year or so have free return insurance.
The AirFit N10 still has free return insurance.

I was wondering the other day if wearing a buff over your mask straps would help the mask stay in place. It seems like it would keep the straps from sliding around on your head. I found fake buffs at the Dollar Tree. They are not quite as good as the real thing but they are close and the real ones are a lot more money. It would mess up a woman's hair though.

All of our faces are different, but so far, the P10 has been the perfect mask for me. With the P10 and piece of tape on my lips, I get zero leaks night after night. And using a cheap hose hanger makes the hose disappear altogether. Sure, I'll have to give the new models a try, but I haven't worn out a single P10 yet in over a year, so the new ones will have to be at least that good for me to be worth getting. The only issue I had was clogging of the vent holes once until I soaked that part of it and blew the holes out with a can of compressed air.
I'm with Pugsy that overcleaning is probably the most common reason for needing to replace mask parts, hoses, etc often.

I hope someday there becomes available for every cpap machine a top loading solution like the dreamWear mask that I have - it is working very well for me. Took a few weeks to get the right tension on the headgear straps to keep leak rate low, and minimize shifting when I roll over.
Sometimes I get some face marks but they are gone within 30 minutes of waking up.
I am too new a user to have any long term input on the quality of the mask parts over time, but I will report back in a few months.
I cannot tell if these masks are usable on multiple brands of machines but , here is a link to more info if interested:

All masks can be used with all brands of machines. Your DreamWear mask works with all the machines out there that are commonly used. No restrictions.
There are a couple of other masks that have the hose routed from the top like the DreamWear. Some people really like that feature and others don't.
There's another mask that does it and doesn't use any headgear at all...it uses a mouth guard to hold the nasal pillows and the hose is attached on the top. It's called the Tap Pap. It was my primary mask for over a year.

The "mask resistance" settings used by Respironics are misleading;
and imply their machines and masks must always be used together.
Do not be fooled. This is marketing BS.
There may be some reason for the settings, but it does NOT preclude the freedom
to use any mask with any machine you like.

I wouldn't call it marketing bs, or misleading. the feature reportedly helps to make the pressure delivery more accurate, and does say 'if used with a different makers mask, turn this feature off"

I often peek, hoping to see some type of nascent maturity, as I sometimes do.

I gave up hope, no signs of progress...

I am not interested in a nasal cushion or full face mask but I think the Brevida looks interesting so I will probably give it a shot when it comes to the US. I'm long past due for a new mask experiment...the last one I did was the ResMed P10.
I am getting bored.
It looks so much like the Pilairo Q only it has different sizes of seals available and the Pilairo Q has more adjustment in the headgear. A cross between the two may have really been a winner.
The Pilairo Q gave me a perfect seal, but really beat up my nose, so I switched to the Dreamwear.

Just ordered the new ResMed N20 Nasal Mask. It was $99 with free return insurance. I have lately switched to the ResMed N10 I had on hand and have found it easier to use. I liked the Dreamwear but it would not stay on my head without bobby pins and that was a hassle. I really like the magnets that just click into place. So I have been switching back and forth and also have the Fisher Paykel Eson but it has too much on the face for me. I will report how the new ResMed Mask does. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you on this forum.

I looked at the Brevida when I saw Pugsy's link. It seems like a modified and somewhat minimalized Pilairo Q. The fact that it does not go the "one size fits all" route seems a plus to me. It seems to be available in Canada as well as the UK in addition to Australia and New Zealand. Has anyone had success in buying from Canadian suppliers for shipment to the US? If not, what are the obstacles?
