Wisp mask- spare parts free-

Post by Cardsfan » Tue Oct 25, 2016 11:04 am

I have some spare parts for a WISP nasal mask. If you need this, I will mail it to you --all I ask is you reimburse me the shipping.

1 headgear -size L- came from a 2nd hand mask I got on this forum. Too big for me. Looks like it is in fine shape.
1- nasal cushion size L for Wisp. (looks new, opened package from a fit pack of different sizes)

To add to this Wisp giveaway...I have some new Wisp (various sizes...I will check) cushions and a couple of used cushions and a headgear (that I don't know what size..it's the silicone one I think) that I just discovered last night in a donations box and it needs to find a new home. It's in great shape...obviously the head gear may have been used but it sure wasn't used that much. Looks new.
I will check cushion sizes and post...I know one XL that is still in the box and a couple of new Petites...don't remember the rest but will let you know.

I don't mind splitting up the cushions...obviously someone who uses the Petite won't be able to use the larger sizes.

1 headgear- size RS (which I consider small, like for a child it looks like) Came brand new from our sponsor, did not fit me.

I am interested in the RS headgear. Please pm me if still available to arrange details. Thanks!

Okay...
1 XL Wisp cushion still in box so I assume new or practically new.
2 L Wisp cushions still in box so assume new
2 Petite Wisp cushion in box so assume new but one of those is going to go to marne108..so I guess only 1 Petite left

2 Large and 1 Petite cushions out of box...so we will assume used but they look new or at least near new
1 Headgear and silicone frame...I can't find a size anywhere on the headgear. It's a light gray if that is a discerning factor.

Wisp Cushions I have available- (same deal) you pay shipping only.
One- cushion size L X1 whatever that is, it looks big
One- headgear size L

I got these 2nd hand in a mask kit. They look new. I got them in what I'd call a fit pack with diff. sizes.

If you think the Large looks big you should see the XL...that sucker looks like it would cover my nose AND mouth.

Oh...same deal regarding reimbursement postage if it doesn't take food off the table.
If it is a big problem and is going to take food off the table..that's okay I can send it anyway but would appreciate reimbursement if able (I have a PayPal account to make it easy) because mailing all this stuff out adds up.

Pugsy- when you mail cushions out, what it the best way. Are they OK in manila padded folders, or should I put them in a box so they don't get smashed? I just take stuff to the Post office and use their packaging.

I have been wondering the same thing about packaging the cushions. Haven't decided what to do just yet.
Normally when I send stuff out it is stuff that needs to fit in a bigger box and usually use USPS Priority mail since they furnish the boxes and the cost ends up being about the same as if I used a box I had to buy and used standard postage.

Nasal pillows will do well in a padded manila envelopes but I was looking at these cushions and not entirely comfortable with the padding in the bubble padded manila envelopes being enough for just this cushion.

I have some bubble wrap left over from shipping a machine so I think I am going to add a little bit of bubble wrap wrapped around the cushion and stick it in a padded envelope.
If you don't have bubble wrap handy maybe wrap the cushion in some paper towels or plastic grocery bags to give it a little extra protection.
The headgear won't need anything other than a padded envelope.

Getting squished in a postal machine isn't probably going to hurt anything but I get leery of something getting caught in one of those machines and then getting torn...hence the added layer of padding.

Just came from the post office. The mail lady helped me pick the packaging. I put the cushion and headgear inside a cardboard box they provided. $6.80 and it came with insurance.
So that wasn't bad, plus, I know it won't get damaged.

The lady said "is that for you", turns out her husband has sleep apnea so we had a chat.

I use the Small Priority box often...it's boxed and protected and get a tracking number along with $50 worth of insurance...I think it's $5.90 or something like that. I can get masks that are soft in it like the Swift FX but masks with a plastic frame won't fit.

Just sent 2 masks the other day...DreamWear and Swift FX ..in a medium Priority box for a little less than $10. It's a shoebox type of size and not normally out front with the free boxes. The Medium Flat rate box at around $12 would work too but I don't need the flat rate with these lightweight masks...so I save a little by using a different Priority box.

I will be going to town tomorrow and run by the post office then. Don't think I can make it today...got someone coming over here and I have to wait for them. If they can come and go before post office closes I will run into town today.

Any special trick as to where the sizing on the headgear might be?
I can't find it on the headgear I have.

Mine is stamped on the inside of what would be the middle of the back of the neck if it was on me.

Nothing stamped anywhere except the Respironic name on the headgear. I have looked everywhere on it.
With the boxes the cushions were in I assume this size is what is referred to as "original" since that is what was included in the fit pack and it's obvious that the packaging the cushions are in are part of the fit pack packaging.
So the one I have is part of the fit pack packaging...size "original" whatever that means and the silicone frame...not the fabric frame.
