Love to hear what you forum folks think of this.....www.smartnora.com ...I just read about the success they are having (selling it that is) in the financial section of our local paper.

The scary thing is that this almost makes sense;
(unless you know about apnea.)
Or ---"Is this a new toy, honey?"
Edit: This reminds me of the Japanese robotic teddy bear that smacks you when you snore.

Took a look at the latest update on their Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/be ... ts/1689269
The early adopters were promised delivery in May, but that has slipped to November. And it's being manufactured in China.
I think a clever kid could replicate the function of this device with a whoopee cushion, a fish tank air pump, and an Arduino. There doesn't appear to be any science behind it, but:
- it looks like an Apple product, and
- it may be ready for the holiday gift giving season ("Here, honey, this is a gift to both of us")

Instruction should NEVER be left out.
The part that sits on the table looks like it should be sanitized before use.

This is dangerous because it can prevent or delay people from getting the medical attention that they need.

But their literature probably has sufficient disclaimers to get them off the hook, even if they KILL someone.

Note: the ad does not mention apnea, only "snoring".

Before we had our cpap"s ... my wife did that .... when I snored she would kick me .
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Yeah...no sense in spending any money...have an official sleep disruptor in the form of a spouse or partner.
My hubby rarely snores but when he does he gets a little nudge...either from my foot or hand....usually foot.

A member once told us about a pet that would wake her when she stopped breathing--on its own!
Others have asked about this as an alternative to cpap, but not really--too rough on you and the dog/cat.
