What more checks I should do to my brain
Re: What more checks I should do to my brain
Would you possibly be happier at another job? Doing different work? Have you gone to a career counsellor (or whatever they're called there) to explore other ideas? If you're depressed to begin with, and you don't like your job, that won't help anything...
Can you even (now) tell the difference between how you feel at work and outside of work? Are you tired no matter what you're doing?

#1: Get the Sleepyhead software, and use it! Main thing to check is leaks, Your mask should vent a set leak rate, depending on your treatment pressure, the amount of leaks over that is unwanted leaking and must be controlled. If it is too high, you are not getting the best treatment you can.
How many hours a week do you work, in the U.S.A., most people work 40 to 48 hours. Many work less, not by choice.. Many work more than one job to get by. I never had a job that I didn't have to do work, and yes I got tired, that's what it takes to keep the Wolf away from the door.
If you work less than 50 hours a week, you need to make a point to get enough sleep to get by, even if you have to stop wasting time on other things.
As far as worrying about the color of my brain matter, I keep it covered by bone, therefore it's in the dark and doesn't have color, problem solved. Jim

My Sleepyhead says: during 6 hours 40 minutes last night I had leak rate of 0.00, total leaks 26.00Goofproof wrote:#1: Get the Sleepyhead software, and use it! I used also an oxymeter: my SPO2 never dropped below 95 during sleep, my resting pluse was around 60.

Maybe a SPECT scan and/or some Neurofeedback (EEG/LORETA scan) training might help?
I personally suffer from an over active cingulate gyrus and find GABA, Ammino acids and HTP-5 to be of help. As well as L-Tryptophan before bed.

Doesn't sound too bad, if you could get it up to 8 hours it would be better, I find lately my worst problems is shutting down my mind, lots of worrying going on. I know I shouldn't worry about what I cant control. So, is it easy to check for the following in one's body ?
- low magnesium ?
- Low GABA and too high glutamate ?

Re: What more checks I should do to my brain
Those can be checked, along with an infinite number of other parameters if you 'go there', but I think it's unlikely that any one small change to any one small biochemical feature is going to make all the difference that you're looking for now and you'll make yourself crazy (let alone your doctor ) continuing to chase those. Change doctors if necessary and possible if you don't feel you're getting proper care, but do credit the doctors (any of them) with having some knowledge and background after all, and stop trying to be a better one - cognitively you may be losing perspective on things because of your state.
Re: What more checks I should do to my brain
For some of us (not all), the best way to change our brain chemistry is to increase physical activity and modify diet. For example, going to bed early and getting up early to exercise (outdoors if possible) before work can make all the difference when it comes to tiredness, sleepiness, mental clarity, etc. For some of us (not all), the primary benefit of effective PAP therapy is that it has allowed us finally to be in a position to decide to make those kinds of lifestyle changes. PAP therapy cannot make us healthier unless we use what it provides to do the other things that make us healthier.
Similar to the comments by 49er, I typed the above mostly because it is what I needed to hear so that I can do a better job of following through on it myself.

Something I have been doing for years now....teaching/learning how to do everything
I do with my right hand w/my left hand. Doing so creates new synapses.
Exercise...anything. Anything to create new neuromuscular connections.
Years ago I spent 3mths in the winter, on the trainer in the basement doing
very specific neuromuscular drills to build/improve my pedal technique on the bike.
Over the weeks it was amazing to "see and feel" the changes happen.
You have to get out of your box.....get out of your comfort zone.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
