I have a ResMed TAngo C-Series. My question is: Will it automatically convert to 220 AC (like an iPhone for example)?
Or do I need to bring over a 110 to 220 converter in addition to an electrical adapter? P
Thanks

Re: Overseas travel
why ask us, look at the power supply for the thing, or the thing itself, it'll specify what type of power it accepts.barrygodofsky wrote:I have a ResMed TAngo C-Series. My question is: Will it automatically convert to 220 AC (like an iPhone for example)?

Re: Overseas travel
I looked at link provided by "Pugsy." It seems to contain contradictory information on this subject. As far as I could tell, there is no "brick" (transformer) on the power cord for this model. Assuming that's right, the voltage information will be on the bottom or side of the machine. If there is a "brick," you will find it there.barrygodofsky wrote:I have a ResMed TAngo C-Series. Note that the socket or "power point" configuration will be different than it is in the U.S. and Canada, so you'll need at least an adapter.
"barrygodofsky" please register
That would be appreciated.

i know this is a waste of breath but people are not likely to see a msg in the subject after the initial postD H wrote:That would be appreciated.

why don't you leave reading fact sheets to people more competent to read them?D.H. wrote:I looked at link provided by "Pugsy." Re: Overseas travel
According to Pugsy's very helpful link the pap unit itself has a power supply input range of 110V to 240V AC and therefore should be safe for the 220V you inquired about. The humidifier, however, appears only good for a power supply input of 110V AC.
Re: Overseas travel
Check your user guide on your unit. It should tell you what it supports. It may say something like :
AC Input range: 110–120V and 220–240V; 50–60Hz; 60VA
This works in both in the US (110-120V AC) and in most of Europe (220-240V). It supports both 50 and 60Hz frequencies. All that you need to do is to pick the correct plug adapter (not a voltage converter).
Also depending on where you are going surge protector might be of some use.
Enjoy your trip

Beware that a standard surge suppressor that you buy in the U.S. or Canada will not wourk in Europe and vice-versa.Uncle_Bob wrote:Check your user guide on your unit. It should tell you what it supports. It may say something like :

Re: Overseas travel
The quick answer is yes! Just make sure that you have the correct adaptor that will plug into the wall or end table electrical outlet for whatever country you will be in.barrygodofsky wrote:I have a ResMed TAngo C-Series. In this case, please try using the machine at home without the humidifier first, and make sure you're comfortable with it.palerider wrote:and don't take the humidifier.RobertS975 wrote:The quick answer is yes!
