Hi all,
It's been a long time since I have posted and I am getting close to my fourth anniversary since I started down this road.
For the most part, my life with CPAP has been ok, but not perfect. I have gotten totally used to the mask and machine, but still not getting consistent results, or mask leaks under control.
I just tried, again, to get Sleepyhead installed and running... had issues with it on my last computer (Win7Home), but recently built a new machine with Win7Pro, and this time, Sleepyhead installed correctly. Anyway...
I have been looking at my data, again, after a long time of not doing so, and I find that I have RERAs like this:

I don't remember what the numbers in parenthesis denote. Could someone refresh my memory. It seems that mask leaks are instigating these RERAs, but I don't know.
I changed my mask cushion yesterday, thinking that would help with the leaks, but that was not the case. I'm washing my face and shaving at bedtime to eliminate stubble from causing leaks, but that isn't helping. I use a O2 connector inline at the mask, which has added leverage from the hose to the mask, so I wrapped a rubber band from the mask (ResMed Quattro) to the hose, to make it run parallel to my head/neck and position the hose to the top of the mattress where it meets the headboard. I was finding myself awakened with the swivel connector on my mask turned sideways and my mask leaking... thought the rubber band would solve that, but it hasn't helped with the leaks...
I am frustrated with the leaks, as I am thinking that they are contributing to RERAs, etc.
Any suggestions or comments on the sleepyhead RERA data would be greatly appreciated.
Phil

We don't know what the number in parentheses for the Respironics flagged RERA means. It might correlate with approx duration in events but we don't know for sure.
Since RERA by definition usually is associated with an arousal it wouldn't be surprising to find out that a leak caused an arousal and the machine flagged a RERA.

The image link won't work because you are missing part of the address at the end...I think a set of brackets maybe.
