Has anyone regained there sense of humor?

Post by Jarboejoe » Sun Aug 21, 2016 6:34 pm

I'very been struggling with getting my cpa to work optimally and need some encouragement.

Has anyone noticed there sense of humor return? It's been so long since I've even been able to think straight, I feel like I'm never going to get my personality back

Cute... but seriously, there are SO many things worse than sleep apnea! Once you get things worked out, your humor will definitely come back.

I know what you mean. I have been on CPAP since December, I am slowly becoming less grumpy. I think even my husband noticed the other day. I still do not feel like I will ever be caught up on my sleep, but slowly but surely I feel like I am a little happier.

Your CPA or your CPAP?
Personally, I've never known many CPAs that had much of a sense of humor.

If you mean your CPAP, I would suggest filling out your profile with the exact equipment and settings you're using.
If you have a data-capable machine, are you monitoring your therapy with software? If not, why not? If you're using a data-capable machine sold since 2010, there's some free software called Sleepyhead which will help you.
If you don't have a data-capable machine........get one. There are many on the used market that are very cost effective and you should have a spare anyway.

I am a lot less grumpy; but have been told I'm still a b1tch.
But since that person is always wrong, I doubt it.

I never really lost it, it was so warped, it wouldn't shake off. In the last few years some has been lost a little at a time, as I got older and seen more things that Disturbed me, such as the dumbing down of our country and the corruption of its leaders. Older and Wiser, allows you to see the truth! Jim

If not a fault of Sleep Apnea or lack of treatment for it.

Treated or not we can be a crabby bunch.

I think it's hysterically funny when someone doesn't know the difference between There-Their & They're.

ASSuming that fluency in spelling is equal to intelligence, wisdom, or cleverness
is an error that makes one look like a total knucklehead.

When I was so depleted of energy it took a lot to pierce the veil and stir emotions. I think I might have met the medical definition of having a "flat affect". I somehow found the energy to cry and get grumpy, but had none left for joy. Getting my sleep straightened out has helped me take an interest in life again, to have more positive emotions and fewer negative ones. You have every reason to be hopeful you will see even more of your best you over time. This thread is evidence that some have a sense of humor, and some just think they do.

And this person's sense of humor is to hide behind a keyboard and criticize.
