Does anyone else...

Post by betam4x » Thu Aug 11, 2016 12:36 am

...look forward to their CPAP/BIPAP/ASV machines? I do and it actually causes issues with my social life. I often find excuses to go home and go to bed whenever possible...even for a nap...just so I can fall asleep in the comforts of my machine. Note that I am 34 yrs old and use an ASV BIPAP thanks to CSA.

Yep, 66 days into treatment. I look forward to going to bed. My average usage is 8 hours and 55 minutes per day.

If I wake in the night, it is with the warm glow of the fully oxygenated! I blissfully fall back to sleep.

When I (finally) wake up each day, I feel refreshed and ready to face the challenges of the day.

Prior to starting treatment my apnoea episodes were up to 90 seconds each. My AHI was 58.9 with oxygen levels down to 60%. I feel lucky to be alive.

No going back now!!

Although there was one advantage I experienced before I started using my cpap. Yes
an advantage ! I could read a book and enjoy it all over 2 weeks later because I didn't
remember the first word because my memory was shot. So now it's sort of odd having
a better memory at 66 than I had at 60 !

I used to dread going to bed--and even naps.
Now that may be common for a 3 year old; but not so much for a 63 year old grandma.
Now I have nothing to fear about sleep.
It is my new happy place.

yes that is my problem also..

Just yesterday I felt like I should clean my house. So I thought I am going to lay down and nap until the feeling passes.
