Replacement for my M-Series Auto?

Post by greyhound » Thu Aug 04, 2016 2:58 pm

I’m getting ready to replace my Respironics M-Series Auto. However, I’ve been unable to determine whether there are any significant differences between the most recent Respironics and Resmed machines and their immediate predecessors. Is the Respironics Dreamstation Auto significantly different than the older System One Auto with Bluetooth? Is the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset significantly different than the System 9 Auto with H5i humidifier?

Also, any thoughts between the Respironics and Resmed machines. I’ve had a good experience with my M-Series Auto.

personally i like the sys 1 better than the dreamstation bc it has a smaller footprint.
the filter on the dreamstation is also a diff size while the one on the sys 1 and m series are interchangeable
you already know the respironics runs on 12v while the resmed does not
the sys 1 uses an sd card card and you can get rid of that card reader for the smart card
you can prob pick up a sys 1 new or used at a much better price than either the dreamstation or a10 to me that would seal the deal
that and the fact that I can use my old supplies

Ditto what guest said. I did the same thing, went from an M series auto to a PR 60 series auto with no problems what so ever. Son has a system one auto with the only difference between his and mine is the heated hose. I would recommend staying with the same brand, so much easier to switch. .... my 2 cents

just 2 months ago i went from my 8 year old M series to the new Dreamstation. so fat i really like it. a lot more settings to play with so it took a few weeks to get it just right but i like it so much i now have a 2nd one as a backup. might want to look into that as well
