It'll hold a lot more than a year. Right click on your card drive with the card in it and see how full it is now. Select properties if it doesn't show automatically.
I'm guessing one day's data might be about 2MB; if so, a 2 gig card would hold approximately 1000 days, or almost 3 years. If you fill it up, it will just write over the old data and if you've downloaded it to SleepyHead or ResScan, it won't matter, you've already got it.

My current card has 20 days on it and has used 25MB. Or, a little more than 1MB per day. At that rate, a 2gig card would hold near 2000 days or 4 to 5 years.

The SD card I have in my computer shows 1.85 gb of data for the period of 4 Jun 2015 through 30 Jul 2016. I keep a Flash Air card my machine and transfer data to the SD card in my computer.

How many day's of high resolution data does it store? Looks like 30 days for airsense and aircurve, which a lot better than the 7 days for the s9, according to this link.

Then what does it do? Erase the older high resolution data and older data usage?

How much storage do ResMed’s sleep therapy devices use on the SD card?

It varies depending on the sleep therapy device. For example, on an S9 therapy device a 1GB SD card easily stores 365 days of usage data, 30 days of detailed data, and seven days of high-resolution data. On any AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 therapy device, you can get up to 365 days of usage data, and 30 days of both detailed and high-resolution data.

no, you can get a lot more, the amount is limited by the size of the card.

Is that for the airsense and aircurve?

I must be uploading my s9 data wrong into SH. The SH uplaod to new profile seems to follow the resmed parameters and only uploads 7 days with flow and mask pressure, then after 30 days no graphs. The Resmed SD card indicates 3.69gb, with 3.63gb free.

the data retention on the air10 machines is different than the data retention on the s9 machines.

That's a great selling point for the air10, I like it!

ResMed 10 Maximum SD Card Size 16GB

Post by SleepZombie » Sat Oct 14, 2017 3:11 pm

I just got a ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto.
It came with a 4 GB SD card that seems to hold around a year to two data after using 100 MB in first two weeks.

I wrote customer service. I did not test this yet.
They said " The max for the SD card that the devices support is 16GB. The latest version for ResScan is version 5.8. "

Hope this helps. If people test this, please post follow ups.

Just because the maximum size car is such and such does not mean of course one should dump ten years of data onto one card since this slows down ResScan.

What is the point of saving years of data? All I want to know is how am I doing now. I have been using a 2gb card for almost 4 years. I have no idea how much data is on the card.

The S9 won't ever fill up, because it trims off high rate data after 7 days, detail data after 30 and usage after a year.

The air10 series doesn't have those low limits, but I don't know of anybody that's ever used one long enough to find out if the machine will start pruning old data when the card's nearly full.
