I'd say they're all portable.
I won't even bother to suggest searching for 'camping' in the search bar, cuz that's too much like work, eh?

Palerider is right, you literally couldn't have given us less info. In the search box above, try typing in either 'car camping CPAP' or 'backpacking CPAP' . Maybe add 'batteries' into the mix... I tried those terms, lots of hits.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: Camping.
I'm camping in Golden Gate Canyon, CO right now at 9800 ft. I just packed up my machine and set it up once we got here. Nothing special. Do take a surge protector/extension cord though and a jug of distilled water if you use humidification.
I don't camp or travel enough to consider a travel machine. Besides, mine isn't all that big in the first place and has a nice case that holds everything.

I have an 8' extension cord on a 5 outlet surge up to 2k joules. It fits in my case along with the power cords, mask and brick.

Re: Camping.
Whenever you are away from home whether it is sleeping out, camping, staying at motel, hotel, or a friends place you should bring an extension cord, power strip, and multi-outlet adapters. Where ever you stay most of the power outlets are likely to be occupied.CapnLoki wrote:If you're 8 feet from a power outlet is that really camping?Aclyesia wrote:I have an 8' extension cord on a 5 outlet surge up to 2k joules. In addition to the cpap you are likely to have at least a cell phone and/or a tablet or laptop that will need charging. The multi-outlet adapters can be helpful in airports, restaurants, and many other places.
Re: Camping.
If access to electricity is a negating factor of what it means to camp, then xPAP is one hell of a detriment to the lifestyles of many users. Many campsites offer electricity in modern-day in addition to "primitive" site options without. I have never seen an affordable battery-pack option that would offer a true "off the grid" option for operating a machine safely for more than 2 or 3 days as my therapy requires with humidification. Unfortunately I can neither afford nor justify a $200-$500 battery pack setup purchase for an annual 5 day trip, so instead I opt to pay an additional $4 per night at a campsite to have access to an outlet situated approximately 5 feet from my tent. Said outlet also conveniently allows me to keep my GPS charged as well as both mine and my husband's cell phones in the unlikely event there is an emergency back home with a member of our family. xPAP therapy has also made it possible for my body to be able to handle camping and subsequent 5+ mile mountain hiking day trips (such as the one I was on), so I suppose everything has a caveat of sorts.
So if you believe access to electricity makes camping "fake camping" then by all means, I guess I will be fake camping for the rest of my life and I am 100% A-OK with that. Fake camping is a hell of a lot better than no camping or broke camping!

Re: Camping.
I didn't mean to start a war on what is fake or real camping, I only was responding to the OP, who seemed to be asking about more minimalist camping. Telling him to camp next to an outlet didn't seem in the spirit of the question.
You seem to have a good solution for your circumstances. Although I've been completely off grid (in the summer) for a number of years it has been with a big assist from the new technologies that allow me to run my "necessities" from solar power. It also helps a lot that I found a location that I love that provides the key elements of civilization such as ice cream and Internet.

Re: Camping.
New person here. Be gentle.
I just got my machine and will be doing a fair amount of camping with it summer and into fall.
I just ordered up a new DC to DC power cord for my ResMed 10 Auto machine (90 watts) from the cpap store and this marine battery box....
https://www.amazon.com/Newport-Vessels- ... ttery+case
I will put a $100 marine deep cycle battery in it and will keep it charged using either the car battery (when idling and with my jumper cables) or a battery charger (when I am plugged into shore power). I think with the humidifier turned off in my machine I should be good for at least 3 days. I will report back in a while to tell you how it goes.

Re: Camping.
Shore power? Sounds more like boating. If so, you likely won't need humidity if you're close to water- I've never used it on board or lakeside, and certainly not in Maine.
Make sure the battery is "deep cycle" and you might want to check amazon prices for larger AGM batteries - I've seen a few getting affordable, and they are worth the premium if you're using them a lot.
I'm not a fan of jumper cables as there are a startling number of jumper related incidents. Rigging up a more permanent system might be worth it. Make sure it's robust since you could easily charge at 25 amps.
Without humidity your usage will likely be between 5 and 8 amp-hours so the battery could go a week or more. But depleted 50% it will take several hours of serious charging to get back to around 85%. Topping off takes longer still.

Re: Camping.
Shore power is what we all plug into while camping if we have it. If I have that, I will just plug my machine into that source of power.
I intend to use my regular battery charger (12/2 amp + 100 amp booster) + I have a battery tender just for marine batteries for a longer and more complete charge. I do carry some serious meat jumper cables with me (25 feet long and 0 gauge) in my truck.
The other nice thing about that battery box is that it allows me to plug in my cpap machine right into the side via the "cig lighter" cord. Even though the machine is 24 volts and the battery is 12, ResMed must have that part figured out. I think that DC to DC cord from them was ~ $80.
At some point I will be canoeing int he Boundary Waters and I am trying to get set up for that.
