I did say in my question that it was on all night. Do you somehow not see this? Was I perhaps not clear enough to allow full understanding? I tried to give as much information as I have to allow for clarity. Stated "night" twice in the post. Whereas "day" was used once, in reference to the information from the machine which gives the information as a "day".

The machines' clocks work from noon to noon, so any reports you get of 'last' night's sleep pattern needs to be read before noon of the day you awoke from your Cpap sleep. There may be a misunderstanding here based on that... the machine may have felt the time from when you woke up until a few hrs later (at noon) was the same session, and not made a distinction between on and off, even if you stopped using it e.g. at 7 am.

I'm sorry if you can't understand my comment. you took the mask off at the end of your "night" that's one mask off event, is it not?

Hi Mom, I have identical machine. Where are you seeing these "disconnects" reported? All the machine will show is "mask fit" if you are not turning machine off before removing the mask maybe this could be causing the problem?

Sorry, I now see in the Dreammapper website that it will report detected mask disconnects, I hadn't seen that before as I don't use it that much. Are you using the web site or maybe the "APP"? I would assume the "App" gives similar data.

I still would wonder if a disconnect would be reported if you removed mask before turning off machine?

I turn it off before removing the mask. So it isn't reporting that as a disconnect. I wish it was that easy, but I saw that problem coming before I ever got the machine. Didn't want it to see things that weren't there that I could prevent.

Klm49 sorry, I wasn't trying to ignore your question. Been crazy around here today and missed it earlier. On the app, disconnects is listed underneath "mask fit". It shows mask fit 100% (every day), a graph showing history of mask fit percentages, then under that part the disconnects, and leaks.

Mom, I dont have any anawers. I had never seen that statistic till I went looking for it. I don't use the Dreammapper app or the software as Sleepyhead gives you much more detail. If you had Sleepyhead you possibly could see when these occur.
Perhaps you can ask Philips Resperonics when and why this is reported.

I realize sleepy head would give more detail. (Been mentioned several times) Unfortunately, I don't have capabilities to get it. Just wondered if anyone knew what might cause the machine to report a false disconnect.

Don't know for sure because I am unsure of exactly what the "disconnect" thing reported from DreamMapper is but a couple of possibilities if it means a turning off and back on of the machine...
brief power outage...brown out
cat stepping on the on/off button (I have this happen quite often myself).
I haven't been able to find out exactly what they are saying is disconnected...is the the mask or the machine?

Are you consistently seeing a certain number of disconnects or are they random or do you ever see no disconnects?

I use a Resmed AirCurve 10 machine, and the MyAir web site shows a mask on/off count. If I put the mask on when I go to bed, and do not turn the machine off, or take the mask off until I get up in the morning, it will show one mask on/off count. If I get up during the night, it will show two as the count. I would presume Dream Mapper uses the same logic in how it counts disconnects. If you put on the mask and start the machine when you go to bed, the turn off the machine and take off the mask when you get up in the morning, you have had one disconnect. If you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, you would have two disconnects. My report showed I had two mask removals when I had slept the entire night without getting up. We had a thunder storm roll through and had a power blip that caused my machine to cycle off and right back on. Thus, the machine counted it as two mask removals.
