Been away awhile. Is Sleepyhead software (2 year ago version) still the best to view cpap data

YAUQ. (Yet another unanswered question) Amazing how often an OP here is told info other than what they requested.

I think LSAT did answer the OP's question by saying he's still using the old software and it works for him.

I just started using APAP last month and downloaded SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-2, Build Date: Apr 22 2016 14:39:45, Revision: cb213cc (master branch). I have no idea what was changed from the old software.

There is ResScan and Sleepyhead for your machine. Sleepyhead is still by far the best.

That's a response, but it did not answer OP's question: is his 2-year old version the latest?

This happens all the time here, and it is not always a bad thing to give the OP info other than what was sought. I'm just remarking how common it is. It can come across as "I don't actually know the answer to your question, but I don't think you need to know it, either...."

OP asked if it was the best, not the latest version.

His question was answered.

His question is also quite subjective. It is based on opinion.

the OP CLEARLY asked " Is Sleepyhead software (2 year ago version) still the best to view cpap data"

not what version was the latest.

you further bitched:

why don't you dig in and answer the question you *think* was asked, even if it wasn't actually asked... instead of just trying to cause trouble?

One of my complaints above the forum is the exact opposite of what you are saying. My complaint is that too often people do answer an OP's question when the OP has asked the wrong question. Or has not provided enough information to get the right answer.

OK, OK, I'll apologize. I did read the question as "has Sleepyhead been improved and upgraded in subsequent releases during the 2 years since I got my version?" I now see that it can just as well be read as: "has any other software come along lately that's better than Sleepyhead?"

But in either case, I don't think the most helpful response is: "I use a since-superseded version of Sleepyhead and I'm satisfied."

If that's what you prefer people wrote, why didn't you write it instead of complaining that nobody is answering his question the way you deem appropriate?

It only took you three posts to this thread.

you interpreted the question in a way that's clearly not at all what it meant, and then got all bitchy because people didn't address your interpretation of the question.

you'd serve both the community as a whole and the original poster better by asking clarification of what they want, instead of just assuming you know and then starting to rant about it.

you might notice that the OP hasn't come back and complained about insufficient answers.
