Equedor

Post by SheriT » Thu Jun 23, 2016 6:41 pm

I'm traveling to Equedor next week. Do I need a converter or an adapter? I know I have to go from 120 to 110 but I don't understand the difference.

Try searching under Equador - it might help.

How can you be going somewhere that you don't even know how to spell?

there isn't any.

now, between 110-120 and 220-240 (most of the rest of the world) there's a big difference, but depending on what the power requirements are on the bottom of your power brick, you may not need to worry, though the plug may be different. try googling.

It is indeed difficult to spell, Julie.
It is ECUADOR.

To SheriT: usually, all you need is the plug adaptor, USA house current varies somewhat from the stated 120V.
Sometimes my home current is 110 volts. The Kill-a-Watt says so.

Sheri, if the plug on the cord of the power supply (known as brick) of your S9 Autoset CPAP has two flat parallel prongs then it will fit as is in wall receptacles in Ecuador.

Cool it Julie this isn't a spelling test. If you can't answer the question, don't comment.

Many otherwise quite intelligent people cannot spell worth beans.
Many who can spell believe it equates intelligence.
Not necessarily, though there is some overlap--just not as much as some believe.

It just struck me that someone going to another country (not some small town in the next county) in a week should know where they're going. It's not a huge deal, but it's something. I don't correct peoples' spelling in other posts because I give the benefit of the 'typo' doubt, but this is different. Plus I really did mean it about searching... how do you find info if you don't enter the right key words?

Do you propose poor spellers be restricted to only go to places they can correctly spell?
Many people speak multiple tongues, but cannot spell very well in any.
My MIL spoke nine languages, could barely write lists in English,
and was functionally illiterate in eight, including her mother tongue.
Literacy/spelling is a necessity in places, but a luxury in others.
It is not a valid gauge of the worthiness of a human being.

well, I searched and found this:
Ecuador's outlets are like those in North America.: two flat, parallel prongs, aka a type A.
so, it's a non-issue.

Two choices stay home, learn to spell, or buy Android, use Voice trying in Google.

I chose to Seay home, stay dumb learn nothing, and bought a Samsung Android Tablet. Now it can appear dumb, and I'm home free. Jim

Search engines are pretty good at guessing--and offering more common spellings.
Those that are too restrictive are as good as useless. Gov't sites are like that.
They require perfect spelling, and offer no help to the hordes of unlucky non-spellers.
You can actually use a good search engine to check spelling; as spellcheck is "imperfect".
