Travel machine

Post by vvh3196 » Fri Jun 10, 2016 9:33 pm

Hello all!
Have been using a Resmed S9 for the last couple of years. Pressure at 10. Starting a new job with travel. The easy answer is buy same machine for travel. Are there any easier/smaller for travel? Have insurance but happy to pay out of pocket...

Look at Cpap.com's large and pretty inexpensive variety - lots of info on all machines including those specified for travel (a site search will help there).

I recently bought an APEX travel machine. The entry level one. It's cheap (but a brick). I'll try to post a review once I get to use it. Bought it for 2 reasons - travel and backup machine at home if ever the main one goes haywire.

I travel quite extensively for work. I just bring my S9 with me. I've occasionally thought about a smaller machine, but it really has never seemed like much of a bother. I keep it in a small roller board. When I take little planes, I check it at the gate. When I take the large planes, I put it in the overhead. When I fly long distance, I bring it on and use it on the plane.

Curious why you might want a second machine for travel?

Thanks all. I thought a smaller machine than s9 would be easier. Plus wouldn't have to set up when I got home
