Post by jamadu » Thu May 12, 2016 3:49 pm

I wanted to know if my Respironics Bipap sv settings are optimal? Here is a copy of last night's report. Thanks for helping!

Your numbers and graphs look really great!!!
Unless something dramatic happens, I'd leave the settings alone and be glad the machine is working so well.

If this was a typical night, I'd say you're doing well. The "optimal" settings are the ones that work for you. If you're new to ASV, leave the settings as they are for a while (a few weeks) and see if they stay about the same as what you've shown us. Then, if you want to try to reduce AHI some more, you can think about making small changes and collecting data. To get meaningful data, you have to make one change and then leave it alone for a week or more. This isn't easy if you get impatient, as I've been guilty of. Sometimes I'd change things after just one or two nights, which is really useless. There are going to be better and worse nights at any settings.
