Central sleep apnea and pressure settiings on ASV Machine

Post by norestfortheweary » Sat May 07, 2016 2:25 pm

I am at my wits end. I had my ASV titration study April 14. I haven't been able to get my ASV machine yet because my pressure apparently needs to be higher than the S-9 will program. I do not know what my pressure is supposed to be. I have sent a message to my Doctor through the patient portal to ask him what my pressure is supposed to be set at. Does anyone know how high the pressure can be set on an ASV machine? I feel like I am dying because of lack of quality sleep. I was having an AHI of 60/hr over a year ago. My then Doctor changed my settings but nothing else. I have never had quality sleep using my Bi-PAP. I guess that is because I have more Central sleep apnea than OSA. I can't take it anymore. I can't enjoy life at all, I can't babysit my grandchildren, I can't keep my house clean and many other things. I am very depressed and at times I just wish I would die so I wouldn't have to feel like I am dying. Has anyone else felt this way? Has anyone else had a problem with getting an ASV machine and not being able to have the pressure set high enough? I would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who knows about pressure settings on ASV machines. Thank you for any help anyone can provide.
