Cpap and ear (infections)

Post by NMchop » Wed May 04, 2016 11:59 pm

I've had an ear infection in my left ear. Two different anti biotics have helped some but it's pesky. I

I coincdentally had my one year check up at the sleep center so mentioned it and she said it's not Cpap relate. My general doctor didn't Agree. Said it can't be ruled out. I'm on 14 pressure on Cpap. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Over Cpap is working but this ear discomfort is getting old. It's been about six weeks.

I'm tapping this out on my phone. Please excuse typos thanks.

Your GP does not have to know as much about cpap as your care givers at the sleep center.
Your infection was not fully or properly treated, and your regular doc is trying to blame cpap.
Fire him, and get a new doc who will investigate your infection and treat it effectively.

This is always a contentious topic... under the CPAPtalk logo above, type in the search window the term ear infection. There's hundreds of hits.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Can't be ruled out until someone does some testing.
Sleep center can't say its not cpap until then.
Sounds like sleep center might have a conflict of interest.

"Can't be ruled out" means "beats me, I'll grasping at straws".
