This part doesn't make sense to me. Is this common? Isn't it the tech's jobs to record the number of events that the subject would have normally?

This is how they do a split study.
If the diagnosis exceeds a certain number AHI,
the lab may proceed with titration--two birds with one stone.

yea.. unfortunately the second part of the split study was pretty much nonexistent because I couldn't sleep and took off the machine. So they gave me the AirCurve 10 to titrate for 3 nights as a substitute for the second part.

This was my first night with it, didn't sleep well again so the data might be inaccurate

What mask did they send you home with? Does it hurt or leak? When I got my machine I was so exhausted from not getting sleep that when I got a close to reasonable fit I was sleeping at least 4 hours before I'd wake up.. and not always then. All that is to say, if you can't sleep tonight try to really wear yourself out. The body will reach a point at which it will make you sleep even if you don't want to.

it looks pretty good... I'd suggest lowering the PS to 1, and raising the minepap to 7 for tonight.

It was a AirFit F10.. It's so much better than the nasal mask I used in the lab.. Thanks for the tip
