I still can't get my AHI down. My doctor started me on CPAP at pressure 15 and AHI didn't improve. With advice from the board I switched my machine to auto and set my pressures at 15/17 and have used this for several nights now. I'm confused and don't know if I really should be using CPAP at a higher pressure or the machine on autoset. I do have centrals as well as obstructive apneas. Will someone look at my numbers again and help me understand what they mean and if I am on the right track or just chasing cats? Again, Thanks.

In looking at your charts it appears to me that you may need a bipap machine rather than a cpap. Your pressure seems to be maxing out at the 17...I would try raising the max to 20 and see if your AHI drops. The Centrals are insignificant in your case. You need help with leaks also.

Down from what? Was 15 your Sleep Study AHI? Did you have a Sleep Study and was a pressure found that worked. I guess I am trying to ask, where did the 15 come from?
Also what does your FL and "snore" graph look like? How long are your events? Do you have any idea why your AHI is high with a pressure of 15? Medications or flopping head for example?
Sorry for the 1001 questions......

Go back and look at the report you posted for the 15th. Looking at that, your best pressure was 14 cm. Very little going on at that pressure (other than some leaking). I would suggest trying a straight 14 for a few nights and see how things look.
In other words, study your reports.......note where the pressure is "stable" where there are few to no events and maybe try those settings. It wasn't until your pressure shot up in that report of the 15th that the hypopneas got more evident. That may have been caused by "positional" sleeping, too.........as is the possibility that some of these in this report you posted.

Yeah. Your Flow Limitations are driving your pressure increases and also coincide with many of your Hypopneas, which may indicate "positional" events (limiting your air flow).

I was stuck in a range with middling AHI's with an APAP setting of min 14.5 max 20. I didn't get consistently below 2.0 until I tightened the range to min 18.0 max 20.0. Of course everyone is different. I am just chiming in to say you still have room to work with.

I may be all "WET" here but............
You have times when your FL are all but nil and then times they are crazy high...
If your head is flopping no amount of pressure will work...
As an experiment, I would get a soft cervical collar and try it for ONE night......if it's your head flopping....this will tell you...
You have nothing to lose but your problem.....A collar is harmless...
