Would appreciate feedback from experts here on CPAP Talk. I was using Resmed S9 VPAP S, and recently bought an aircurve Vauto, and moved my S9 to my backup (many thousands of hours on it). My pressure settings on the S9 VPAP S were IPAP @ 17 and EPAP @ 8. From researching posts here on the board I concluded I needed to set my Aircurve to EPAP @ 8, Pressure Support at 8, and max pressure at 20. Did I set the aircurve Vauto pressures correctly? My AHIs have remained low but I am hoping for reassurance that I set it up correctly...
Thanks,
Dave

Well the S9 and the Aircurve are not set the same. Do you want the Auto to be set like the S9 VPAP S ??DavidC5065 wrote:Would appreciate feedback from experts here on CPAP Talk. Put the Aircurve in S Mode and set the IPAP to 17 and the EPAP to 8

Maybe I did not understand what you were asking. Did you mean you wanted to stay in Auto mode with a range of pressure but keep the S9 VPAP's EPAP and PS the same?lilly747 wrote:Well the S9 and the Aircurve are not set the same. Put the Aircurve in S Mode and set the IPAP to 17 and the EPAP to 8
If so : put EPAP 8 and PS 9 (9+8=17) and set the IPAP to where ever you want it to top out at, 20 sounds good to me. Look at your SH data to decide.

if you're sleeping well, and your ahi's are good, then you probably did fine.DavidC5065 wrote:Would appreciate feedback from experts here on CPAP Talk. pull the data and look at it in more detail than just 'ahi'.

Re: Switched to Aircurve Vauto, did I set it right?
Thanks lily747, I want to use auto. Thanks Palerider, I'm looking at the data in sleepy head but I don't really know what I'm looking at...it says I'm needing higher pressures on both epap and ipap, so I raised the epap to 9 and the PS to 9 and last night I had one event (ca) and stayed right around 9 epap and 18 ipap according to sleepy head....but the night before I went up to almost 21 ipap at one point....the leaks are consistent but large leaks are very low...
