Counting Down to My First Night on the Tube
Hello to you all,
My journey is to start soon and I'm very grateful to be able to read the advise that's available on here. When I start using my machine I'll be well prepared for most eventualities.
I'm brand new to the cpap scene after being diagnosed with sleep apnea a few days ago. I went to my Doctor (in Spain) and complained about extreme tiredness and needing to go to bed during the day. I was sent for a blood test and was told that everything was just fine. I asked what could be done about the tiredness and was told 'I don't know'. Some weeks later I went to a private medical practice and they quickly diagnosed sleep apnea and sent me to a specialist. I did a home sleep test and the data showed I had a score of 36 (longer than 10 seconds) breath holding instances an hour and they recommended an auto pap machine.
I've done plenty of research and have settled on a machine/mask combination that I hope will work for me. It should be here within a week and I'll share my newbie experiences with you.
Regards
Roy

Hello Suzy Kay,
Thanks for the tip, I'll be giving that a try. I was going to rely on the machines codes which the supplier could interpret to let me know how I'm doing, but your suggestion looks even better.

Does that machine come with the SmartLink module? You are going to need it to use SleepyHead.SleepCube AutoAdjust Plus Auto Cpap

No idea about the module. It's not on the info so I'll have to wait and see.

It's strongly recommend NOT to accept delivery of a machine that is not fully data capable.

Looks like these machines are called Sleep Cubes in Europe and are made by DeVilbiss.
See if yours looks like these. Also note the model numbers:
https://sleep.tnet.com/cmd.mfg
If DeVilbiss doesn't show up in the submit query box use the drop down scroll arrow. Data capability is mentioned, of course... NTM nice writeups on the features.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Hi.
Yes, mine is the Intellipap Autoadjust. Mines coming without the optional humidifier, which I'll get if I need it. Should be here sometime next week and I'm looking forward to the challenge, (I think!)
