3 Weeks in Can you look at my numbers

Post by laxmom » Tue Apr 05, 2016 7:56 am

OK going to try this again, the screen shots didn't work the first time.

I have been on Apap since mar 16th and this forum has been so helpful. You have helped with my DME issues and I was able to get a new mask, I really don't think I could have made it this far with my original mask. I visit every day and after a week followed the suggestions of moving my min from 5 to 7 and I don't use the ramp feature anymore.

Here are some screen shots of my last 3 nights. Could you look over them and tell me what you think. Any changes you think I need to make or any issues you may see. I changed the graph to show what another poster said is the important info.

Thanks in advance!

The AHI is exceptionally low. The 95% leak rate numbers indicate that leaks are not an issue.

The clusters of RERAs on April 3 might be a bit troublesome if you see this kind of stuff on most days.

The activity in the Flow Limitation graph is significant. And it gets worse as the pressure goes up. That's counter-intuitive and it may indicate that your upper airway is a bit over reactive to the pressure. It's a controversial idea, but you might want to lower that max pressure a bit to see if the flow limitation graph becomes less busy. Not all "flow limitations" are real in the sense of the airway is actually compromised, but the Resmed AutoSet for Her mode is very aggressive in responding to any activity in the flow limitation graph. And under certain particular conditions, that increase in pressure can make the situation worse not better.

So the real questions that must be answered when looking at data like this are:

How well do you think you are sleeping on a typical night?

How good do you feel during the daytime?

I am not feeling very refreshed in the AM and am still getting sleepy during the day around 3:00 P.M. that is why I wanted to post my numbers, to see if there was anything else for me to try. I don't see my doctor for a few more weeks.

robysue, thanks for the RERA info, can you give me some more help on why that is bad. i'm am new and don't really understand all the jargin, but do see it only happened the one out of 3 nights I posted. I will look at my other data when I get home to see if it happened on other nights.

Thanks!!
