Hi all,
New here, but I am here because I am having problems. Slept like crap last night. So tired today, almost feel asleep driving home. I have been on CPAP for a while and it usually works great for me.
I pulled my SD card out of my ICON and loaded everything in SleepyHead to see if I could tell what the issue was. I think it was a leaky mask or dry sinuses.
I noticed that the data in SleepyHead and what I see on the ICON do not match. For example, the ICON shows my AHI from last night as 6.6, which is really high for me. When I look at it in Sleepyhead, it shows an AHI of 1.38 for last night.
Has anyone else compared what they see on the ICON screen versus what is showing in Sleepyhead? I looked backed several days on Sleepyhead and the 6.6 (or anything close to it) was there. The highest Sleepyhead had was 1.38.
I am using V0.9.8-1, which I believe to be the latest version.
Thanks

Re: Sleepyhead and Icon data not matching
I use an Icon as well, but have not compared. Give me a few minutes and I'll see if mine is different too. I've been going on just the sleepy head data.
Thanks for the great question, I didn't even compare!

Re: Sleepyhead and Icon data not matching
I too am showing a lower AHI on SH compared to my VPAP Auto bi-level and ResScan. So for some reason SH is not reporting all of the events. I think it has something to do with the time change as this started when I changed the time on machine. Hopefully palerider will chime in. He works with the SH program.OP wrote:I noticed that the data in SleepyHead and what I see on the ICON do not match. Re: Sleepyhead and Icon data not matching
there *is* a rather complicated bug in sleepyhead due to some bad code contributed by someone helping jedimark out that casues the program to miscount the number of hours of use the night daylight savings time kicks in.
as to the specific issues, they're unlikely to be related, since different machines are being talked about.
Lilly, why do you feel sleepyhead is wrong? Sleepyhead just shows the data that your machine gives it.... though of course there could be a bug. Comparing it again st the on machine display is often misleading because it gives you so little data, such as when it cuts of one day and starts the other.
the same issue may be affecting Crushing, if his machine's clock rolled over to the next internal day, then whatever part of that time may have had an artificially high AHI display on the screen.
when in doubt, on machines that report flow data, like the vpap auto, you can always zoom in on the display and see if there are any apneas or (harder to see) hypopneas that aren't flagged... remember they have to be at least 10 seconds long to officially be counted.

After 3 days of weirdness, all has cleared up...
But here goes info on the 3 days....
Sat 3-12
I changed the machine time forward 1 Hr B4 bed....SH had a 2 hour gap in recording between 3:52 and 6:09 AM. I also turned the machine off and on for a few sec at these times....maybe I should have waited til Sun afternoon to change the time on machine.
Sun 3-13
SH shows higher AHI than ResScan and machine.
Mon 3-14
SH shows lower AHI than ResScan, but I forgot to put the card back in the machine so can't check anything..WTH
Tue 3-15 Everything agrees, SH, ResScan, and machine....And I am going to pretend like it was a bad dream.

Re: Sleepyhead and Icon data not matching
I believe that at least some of your mismatching stuff was due to the faulty dst code in sleepyhead. check to see how many hours SH said you were sleeping, vs resscan.lilly747 wrote:palerider Most likely, "operator head space,"palerider wrote: Lilly, why do you feel sleepyhead is wrong? this hasn't even been fixed in the current beta... hopefully by beta 2 fortunately it only messes up this way once in the spring.

Re: Sleepyhead and Icon data not matching
Well, my ICON just updated from last night and the AHI did match from last night.
My icon shows the following
AHI- 30 days, 7 days, 24 hours
yesterday's reading- .8, 1.4, 6.6
today's reading- .8, 1.5, .7
l/min- 30 days, 7 days, 24 hours
yesterday's reading- 37, 42, 88
today's reading- 37, 41, 28
CmH2O- 30 days, 7 days, 24 hours
yesterday's reading- 10.1, 11.4, 24
today's reading- 10.1, 11.4, 8
As you can see, the results from yesterday were so far from normal that it actually established a new high (low, really) for me and it is what prompted me to put everything in Sleepyhead.
However, in Sleepyhead, I see no indication of the bad events from last night. Additionally, the AHI readings didn't match up.
Sleepyhead shows the AHI as 0.71 for today and 1.38 for yesterday.
I'm not sure if SH shows the l/min or the cmH20 readings.
I'll keep monitoring it, but maybe it was tied to the time change. I did not change the time on my ICON.
