Help Sleepyhead Data gone

Post by Mopheus » Tue Mar 15, 2016 12:39 pm

All my data is gone, or corrupt, about 6 months worth. Is there a reset?
All the days look like this more ore less. I m very upset to have all my data gone

Need a little more info before making and suggestions .
Did you install the new version of sleepyhead ? what version are you using ?
Have you done anything else unusual with the computer ?
OS version .... windows .... mac .... ??
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

I'm running OS X 10.10.5 mac.
Sleepyhead v.9.8-1.
Pretty much use the computer for sleep data.
I clicked on a session box to see about the first chunk of the night.
That's when every thing went screwy on all nights. No more flow data and the AHI is wonky.

it's probably not gone, just corrupted.

as long as you didn't turn off the automatic backup SH does on import, you should be ok.

sleepyhead does a *LOT* of calculations on your data when it's imported and saves working data, it's this working data that it uses to display your daily charts, so it doesn't have to do those slow calculations every time you change to another day.

go to the menu, wherever that is on a mac, pick data, then rebuild cpap data, and then your individual machine, it should chug for a minute or two, and hopefully, you'll have pretty displays again.

If you have not erased the SD card the data may still be available ... create a new user in sleepyhead and import form the card again

did it import properly?

perhaps you messed up your settings, as Gray suggested, and importing into a fresh profile will get things back.

Yes, I just did that. My card only goes back to Jan 10, but better than nothing. I have kept the original profile if any one has an idea how to restore it. Some data looks ok, like overview, and stats.
All event flags are missing, and it only displays one segment of the entire night. I will not be clicking to view one particular session of the night again, very buggy.

you can try another trick...

make a third profile, then when you go to import, select the backup folder under your first profile. it'll read the backup data that's in there.

the data location is listed on the user selection screen when you first start, make a note of it.

create a new profile, and start the importer, tell it you want to select a location, go to where your data directory is.
then under that is 'Profiles' under that will be the names of the various profiles. go to the name of your first profile.
under that will be a directory with the serial number of your machine, click on that, then on backup.
try importing.

Ha, it's my wife. She fixes my computer, sigh. I fix the car, plumbing, electrical, etc.
She will try a fix suggested by palerider.

I run to my kids with every IT issue. My 16 year-old "fixed" my "broke" I-phone in two seconds flat yesterday. LOL.
