How to Retrieve Data from Icon Auto w/GSM? (Mac User)

Post by GMcC » Wed Mar 09, 2016 9:56 pm

I am very new to this--started AutoPAP about 2 weeks ago. So far, so good, except I cannot figure out how to retrieve data from my machine. I've downloaded Sleepyhead, and Fisher & Paykel's InfoSmart software, but my computer (Mac) will not recognize the USB from the Icon+. My best guess is that the USB, which looks like this (as opposed to a normal USB): Image is incompatible with my USB drive?

Another thing to note: the USB is attached to a wireless device, which F&P calls "InfoGSM," that can transmit data from the Icon+ (though seemingly only to my doctor's computer?). Does anyone else have this setup, or any advice?

Thanks so much. I'm a total newbie.

If you've already done this then please ignore.

put the USB into your Mac

Open Sleepyhead

Create a Username if you haven't already done so

Select that username from the appropriate box

Click on the SD icon to retrieve the data

A box should pop up which says that there is a USB at whatever letter assigned for the USB port in your Mac. (On my PC it's E:)

If this doesn't appear or you have too many options then remove any other portable devices/USBs until only the Icon USB is left connected

Download the data by clicking the download button

A new screen should pop up showing the latest nights results. You can then click on daily to see all the graphic details of the last nights sleep.

As far as I can tell, my computer simply doesn't recognize the wireless device/USB. Although, when I plug the USB into my computer, the screen on the wireless devise does light up, indicating that it's connected. Any other USB I've ever used with this computer simply appears on my desktop as a "device," but this one simply doesn't appear! (Maybe I've just been an incompetent Mac user all these years?)
