If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Thanks BUT: My problem is pressure changes without cause, I can be laying there breathing nice and deep, slowly and after a little time the machine raises the pressure, I either turn it off and back on to stop this OR wait it out and now most times it will go back down.

Of course I do not know what it may be doing during sleep.

There is a hint of funny business in some of my Sleepyhead readouts...

So I need to fix the pressure sensors not the Humidifier which is all that thread talks about.

Rich.

that problem seems to be fixable with the installation of a small screw to the top right corner of the circute board as described in this thread

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=106093

the pressure sensors are located in that aera and when the board lifts up they loose the seal to the pressure in the output flow

We are getting close, but my machine is now a 960 so it should already have the missing screw from the 950.

So any more on problems with the 960??

Rich

easy enough to fix, takes about 5 minutes.
Please share any info on this repair..I would like to save this unit as a backup and travel system.
open it up as shown in the thread gray posted, and reseat the board on it's air connectors.

So am I correct in my understanding that the "Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for her" has the ability to run in Cpap mode, Autocpap Mode and Autocpap for her mode? If so can these settings be changed in the clinical mode? Is it also correct that only the machine will record RERA? If so what is the reason for only this machine recoding RERA data?

If this is what you a referring to I would be stupid not to purchase the "For her model"

Sorry about all of the questions I just want to make sure I have it clear in my head before I make the purchase. I find it odd that only this machine is capable of doing this, you would have thought they would have made both models capable of doing this.

Thanks for all of your help!

Cheers

Robbie

be sure and go for the "AirSense 10 Autoset for Her" (not s10... that's a small pickup truck by Chevy)
the "for her" has an extra mode, which might, or might not be handy to have sometime in the future, but it never hurts to have it available.

So I just went into the clinical menu on my loan Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset (The black unit) and it has the three option in my question below. I have put the link to a photo of the screen on my machine.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xqv3q6m3zkef8 ... 6.JPG?dl=0

Would I only have these three options because this is a Resmed Loan machine or has there been a software update allowing this on both machines now.

Could anyone that has these two models please check the options available under "Mode" in clinical mode? I would love to know what options you have available.

Thanks for your help

yes; yes; yes; yes ;no-I've seen reras reported on the autoset ; it's only documented on the 'for her' mode, but seems to be logged on the regular autoset too; that's what I'm referring to, as to stupidity? maybe you don't like the design on the 'for her' model

Here is my report after a full week of using my New DreamStation APAP.

It just keeps getting better and better.

Last couple of nights I have gotten the best sleep I can remember.

Last night I recorded a 0 AHI with NO other readings of anything as well. I was able to get such reports on the 960 BUT there was always other problems, and wake ups.

When I switched to a APAP from a ASV I worried if this was the right move.

This concern was made much worst by my being unable to use a ResMed APAP machine as shown here.

But the switch to the DreamStation was good and I had no bad reactions to it.

I did note that it was not blowing air in my face like the ASV 960 had and at first I thought that was wrong.

But now with a new study and on a Dreamstation APAP and off a seemly not needed ASV 960 system I am getting the best sleep in the past three plus years.

Seems the ASV 960 was in its self was causing arousal's disturbing my sleep.

It seems it was TOO reactive to my sleep changes.

I have NOT been waken by odd things like I used to and no mask leaks either which used to be a staple of my nights. And often was the cause of my waking up.

Now I can feel like I am breathing more natural on the DreamStation's lack of rushing air which I used to think was kind of forcing air into my lungs..kind of super charging my breaths, and I am feeling much more rested.

Here is the Encore Pro report.

Another new feature on the new DramStaion I like: The SD Card is now A) on the side not in the back as in the 960 ASV Machine AND B) in now under a little door with the filters, SO it is harder to forget to return the SD Card to the machine as you are hard to miss the open door/cover on the side.

I used to stuff my cleaning tissue into my mask to try to remind myself I had the SD Card out, this worked about 90% of the time, and I did forget it from time to time.

Wow, that would be cool, and logical, for them to update all of the Autoset models to include Autoset for Her. It would be nice even for the Vauto to have CPAP Autoset for Her. I just had my friend check her black Autoset. She only has CPAP and Autoset- no Autoset for Her on hers. I wonder if this is an upgrade slowly being rolled out, or if it's an update only dealers can apply.
