I was diagnosed mid-February and picked up my machine on March 3. I've had 5 nights with it, and while it hasn't been miraculous for me, it is going better than I had anticipated. This is due, in large part, to this board.
As soon as I was diagnosed, I went online and quickly found this board. I've been reading and reading, and as a result, I knew what to ask insurance. I've was informed and knew what to ask for when I met with my DME. And most importantly, I've been able to make the first nights with my machine reasonably tolerable. For example, I learned that if a higher humidity setting makes my mouth dry, turn it down, not up.
I'm still struggling with sleeping position and comfort, but I'm slowly working on a solution. Travel this week will slow things down I'm afraid (two steps forward, one step back). And yes, I'm taking my machine with me, which I probably would not have done without this board.
So, thanks to those of you, past and present, who take the time to answer the repeated questions from newbies with patience and humor. As I continue on this new path in life, I hope to be of help to other newbies and to get to know you all here.
Thank you!
Thank you!

The board is one thing, YOU taking action makes all the difference! Good for you - for taking good care of yourself, seeking help and then putting it into action!Moondance wrote:I was diagnosed mid-February and picked up my machine on March 3. Aw shucks... that's the nicest thing anybody's said to us for a long time. Love your 'can do' attitude!

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
