Ruby Style Chinstrap - CPAP.com warehouse label error?

Post by BrooklynCPAPer » Sat Mar 05, 2016 3:23 am

Hi all - curious is anyone else has recently ordered the CPAP.com ruby-style red chinstrap Xtra large? I've used this chinstrap for almost a year with great success but the last two they've sent me are clearly labeled incorrectly. The bag says extra large but clearly that's not what is inside.

I've tried to tell CPAP.com's customer service about this but all they did is send me another chin strap that has the same issue. Anyone have a contact for someone directly at the company who might be able to address this? I realize I may seem crazy but my head hasn't gotten any bigger since my last order and I think they have a large batch of defectively labeled products but I can't seem to get them to see that so thought I'd see if anyone here has had this experience or has a contact in the company.

Thanks!
Chris

I love CPAP.com and almost always buy from CPAP.com, our sponsors, but regarding their copy of the real Carefusion Ruby Chinstrap, not so much. Here's where I get my genuine Ruby. Note: The S-L version, tho adjustable, tends to run small in my experience and I have a very regular sized head. I just got another XL Ruby a week ago and it works fine, plus they last years if kept clean etc.

Here's the link for regular velcro adjustable S-L size - ignore the 'stops snoring' malarkey in the ad:
http://www.amazon.com/CareFusion-Stop-S ... E1GFBBYXKN

Here's the link for the velcro adjustable XL (extra large size). It's quite a bit bigger:
http://www.amazon.com/CareFusion-Ruby-S ... TK0TV2GZHQ

Hope that helps.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

That helps a lot, thanks. I ordered the CareFusion version through Amazon. It is the only time I've ever had to go outside of CPAP.com for my supplies so I'll chalk this up to an anomaly. For everything else, definitely the place to go. My insurance company asked me why I choose to only get 70% back instead of 90% if I went in-network. One chat with the DME answers that question for me.

The insurance folks have no clue; and they couldn't catch one if it flew up their hiney.
