I am a newbie to this wonderful world of sleep apnea. I have finally had about a week of not removing my mask in the middle of the night. I have trusted my sleep study place to guide me with equipment but want to be more proactive in my treatment. My wife has been very encouraged at my recent breakthrough as the 'sawmill' has hopefully closed its doors permanently.
Anyway here is my question(s).........My machine seems to have software loaded already but how do I find out what type to put in my user control panel board profile? Is the User Control Panel PRofile on this board referring to additional software people purchase to monitor their sleep? I'm pretty sure the machine has a memory card. What types of info are stored on these memory cards? Is there additional software for my computer that people recommend purchasing?
Oh yeah.....I have a Remstar BiPAP Auto with biflex with heated humidifier, F10 Full Face Mask (tried P10 nasal pillow which was much more comfortable but sleep talk and mouth breath too much to work), and my hose is white and long (a little c-pap humor for those that don't get offended ).

Re: Software Questions
Welcome to the forum.
The humidifier you have chosen is probably incorrect as it belongs to a machine that was discontinued some years ago.
Most likely you have a PR System One Bipap Auto and I suspect a 60 series.
Let's confirm exactly what you are using by checking the bottom of the blower unit for a 3 digit number that will likely be either 760 or 750 with DS, or P or maybe REF in front or behind the 3 digits.
Tell us the 3 digits and we will tell you exactly what choices to make in terms of equipment.
Disregard the software choice menu in the equipment profile...that refers to software that we used to be able to purchase to use with the machines. All those choices are incompatible with today's machines.
For software information take a look here. This would be the software to see the data that is available on that SD card.

There's no need to purchase the software...it's free.

Re: Software Questions
the software in the profile is for stuff no longer sold, so it's inapplicable.Virgil Caine wrote:I am a newbie to this wonderful world of sleep apnea. your selected humidifier is for an ancient piece of equipment that hasn't been sold for years.
what you describe for your machine is a generic term that refers to many years worth of machines.
look on the bottom (don't forget to remove the water tank first) and find the REF number.

Re: Software Questions
Thanks for the info!! This helps clear things up. When I get home form work I will start playing with the software. I probably should disregard most of my data because I have only recently had success after months of frustration....but I can start understanding how it works. I will check my humidifier and machine tonight for the serial numbers but it does look like the 60 series.
