Veteran User with first auto machine

I got to the spot -- thanks to all. Having the manual emailed so I'll be interested what tricks they used to keep users out of the clinition instructions.

you mean, where it says in that link above:
Fisher & Paykel ICON Auto, Premo & Novo: Start from the 12 o'clock position of the Home Screen. Press and hold the button in the middle of the SmartDial, and use your other hand to turn the SmartDial in a clockwise direction until you return to the 12 o'clock postion. Do not release the Smart Dial button while turning. Turn the SmartDial back (counter clockwise) one position while still holding down the button and the settings in the Clinician Menu will appear. You can now release the SmartDial button. NOTE: The Clinician Menu will default back to the Patient Menu after 30 seconds, or if the unit is turned off at the power supply. You can manually exit the Clinician Menu by repeating the instructions to enter the menu.

I've worked that sequence 10 times and it won't take me to anything that will allow me into the clinician section. I even watched a video and the last step in the procedure shows a screen that is different from the one on my machine. If the manual has something different and I can get in -- I'll report back. If I have to wait until I see the R.T., I'll let you know as well. What I need is a section that 1. asks for your sleep study pressure 2. Lets you plug in a lower and upper pressure limit around that number. Should be interesting and of use to any other Icon Auto user.

Try these instructions:

If you have the 'Infosmart' program that contains all your stats, you can change it through that.
If not, you can do it this way (this info comes from another forum): Move the SmartDial to the user Preferences position (tool wrench icon). Hold down the SmartDial button with your thumb until you hear the 'tick tock' sound. Do NOT release the middle button yet. While holding down the button, use your other hand to rotate the dial 380 degrees clockwise until you are back at the top (12 o'clock position). Rotate the dial one pitch counter-clockwise back to the tool wrench icon, release the middle button and you be in the Clinician Menu with additional options appearing on the left quarter of the screen.

Once you've done this, you should be able to see one of the options that allows you to change your pressure.

When I get to the wrench icon and hold the button, there is no tic toc sound. I appreciate you effort on this --- there is a AUTO spot on the dial that I can't find a way to get into.

thanks a bunch --- wow !! Will try later but I think my machine is locked out of the wrench icon --- I have never been able to get it to engage. Will see later ---- at least I know I'll be able to get this cpap customized --- I was getting worried that I had wasted my money. it's *not possible* to 'lock the machine' out of the setup menu. put that out of your mind, and work on getting the sequence right.

I've been retired since 2003 and turn 70 next month. The word w**k ls no longer recognized or spoken by me but I appreciate your encoragement and will "laze" my way into the menu sooooooooon.

That video was 5 years old and some things have changed re the screen menus. I was able to adapt and adjust [thank you xanax] and set the minimum at 8 and the max at 12 to reflect my Rx of 10. The only decision now is whether to enable the Sensawake feature. Thanks to all.
