Burning candle - smoke - can I still use machine?

Post by Jason7 » Fri Dec 18, 2015 5:37 pm

Hi, about 6 months ago, I was at a hotel...a large candle was burning in the bathroom...I woke up to very fine smoke particles in the room which I noticed only where the light was streaming in through the shutters.
My white filter was dark gray, as were the edges of the mask, expiration holes in the mask, and also my nose around the edges of the mask, and some in my nostrils!
I discarded the filter, tubing, and mask. There was a small amount of residue on the (?silicone) seal on the humidifier lid, which I easily cleaned off.
I've been using this machine only when I travel, and have had no further issue at all. The air coming through the blower is clean.
But I'm wondering now, do I need to somehow get the blower on the this S9 Autoset cleaned...and should I really be using it?
Thanks all,
Jason

No need for further cleaning. Just don't light any candles. They have no benefit except to the companies that sell them.
Essential oils can be used on absorbent (disposable) materials throughout your home,
WITHOUT the smoke pollution and risk of fire inherent with candles.
Candles are cheap to produce, with very high profits.
They are marketed for seasonal decor and as gifts; but why would anyone gift someone they love with a fire?

Would appear you already took care of it.
