I must say that is the most unique way of saying I feel like S%#$*&^*( I have ever heard.

Actually 'feeling better' has been an ongoing process--The more I work on good sleep habits,
proper diet. and enough exercise--I get dividends--the harder I work at it, the better I feel..

I am finally starting to feel better after 2 months, but I have to add that the first mask didn't work at all. The current mask works great even at my increased pressure of 18cm
The leaks are bad when I sleep on my side and bury my face in the pillow. I can already notice improvements in my memory and cognitive functions. My energy levels are still lagging but improving.
The one thing that changed that I wasn't expecting is my acid reflux and potty problems. I stopped taking acid pills and made an appointment with the gastro doc.
I wish I started using the hose a decade ago.

I started feeling better after my titration sleep study. AHI of 118/hr here, so even a couple of hour's sleep was sweet relief. Felt better after the first night when I got my machine. Had machine 8 nights now and every day is better than the last (except that one day where I fell asleep without the mask on). Brain fog is slowly melting away, energy levels increasing, feeling like I have the energy and capacity for a daily routine that includes physical excersise. It's great!

Incidentally I take 'started feeling better' to mean 'sensing a noticeable improvement' - not 'done'. I don't believe in recovery to a 'normal' state of health. Things can always be better

Hey Everyone:

This poll had over 5000 views, but only 39 votes. As a newcomer, something like this is so important to help me really get a sense of how long it will take to feel better. For example, I'm much better able to stay motivated if I know it may take a month or 2 - 4 months since I'm not one of the lucky ones who are feeling better right away. It's not a perfectly constructed range of answers, but better than sorting thru thousands of posts to see how each individual felt.

Let's get some more people taking the poll!

Best,
Bob

The poll was initiated in 2012.....Generally there is not much interest in polls like this since everybody reacts different to meds and medical procedures. Some people will feel better immediately while others still struggle after months of treatment. The poll is no indication of how quickly you will feel better. IMO..Polls are useless

Overall I'm better, but that's just going from feeling totally awful everyday to just feeling really bad most days.

Hang in there, its worth it!

I've been using BiPAP for two weeks now, after what was likely 20+ years undiagnosed. I saw this survey, but was unable to vote because I don't feel like I'm feeling better yet. Out of curiosity I asked my wife "Am I feeling better?" Her answer was a resounding "Yes", and after only about two days. Interesting.

My AHI last night was 11.93, compared with my AHI from Nov 3rd of 134.8. I also receive supplemental oxygen at night because my sleep study saturation numbers were 66% lows.

I feel a little brighter and less foggy everyday. While everyday is different, I've struggled through the AHI's in the 60's and 30's to where I'm in the teens most of the time, with a couple of 2's in there. But that wasn't the question.

I started feeling better when I knew there was something I could do for myself. I may not be my best yet, but I'm slowly feeling stronger and more restored.

I never felt bad before my diagnosis and I actually enjoyed sleep--looked forward to it and treasured my time in bed. Now....I hate going to sleep and put it off as long as possible. Never feel rested. Hate using my machine....but use it anyways. AND I'm thankful that I have a machine to use to save my life, even if I don't enjoy it.

Couple weeks is all it took. And I actually found the CPAP to be therapeutic...it helped me fall asleep faster.

I felt better from the very first day of use and have not had any issues. This has literally changed my life.
