I wrote earlier about how long the total process takes. I was happy that my titration study was done by a more professional place, and that she said push the results through. So, I got a phone call yesterday and the nurse said they will be delivering my CPAP machine and set it up with the settings and teach you hwo to use it.
Well...that great news, but is that normal. I knwo my insurance is cover thigns, but to have someone personally come to your home and set it up and show you how to use it? Is this the norm? Hope I heard the nurse correctly, so I'll be awaiting this next week.
Another thing, when I was having my titration study, the nurse told me during my sleep study I was having over 100 episodes an hour, and over 40 is considered severe! That shocked me that I was living life with that many episodes an hour.
Tiration study complete, CPAP delivery and set up next week
Re: Tiration study complete, CPAP delivery and set up next week
Some DME's deliver, others do not.
Call them and tell them you want a "full data capable machine".
Since they are delivering, you want to be sure they are bringing you what you want and need.
Ask for the name and number of the specific machine they are delivering and post this on this forum for feedback.
Ask them to bring a variety of masks so you are able to choose the one that suits you best.
