Stopped up nose

Post by Viperchic » Sun Nov 15, 2015 11:52 am

I'm currently using an Airfit N10 nasal mask. It's been great except for a couple of nights when I've had a stuffed up nose which is typical for me this time of year. I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on a full face mask helping.

I use a Mirage Micro nasal mask but I keep an Airfit F10 around for when this happens. I Usually wind up with a dry mouth from it even with humidity turned up, but it's good to have something on hand other than a nasal-only mask IMO.

I like my nasal pillows so much that the last time my nose stopped up,
I used a nasal decongestant and a Breathe Right strip. It worked fine.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting the Airfit F10 just in case. I still have a couple of weeks to try different masks, so I may go ahead and pick that one up tomorrow. Do you like the way it fits?

I use a full face mask but so far I have found that the pressure has helped keep my nose clear and make breathing through it easier then when I am not wearing a mask.

I just recently had an appointment with my sleep doc. Talking about my occasional stuffed up nose (and my dislike of full face masks that I've tried) he asked if I'd ever tried Flonase. I bought some and it's made a huge difference. I haven't been stuffed up since I started using it.

I've been using flonase and a nasal inhaler. I think what set me off last night, hubby and I were up in attic doing some work. I made it about 4 hours last night and I was so stopped up I had to take my mask off. It was leaking because I wasn't able to breath through my nose.
