Replacing an older machine
I am replacing an older machine and would like to know thoughts on the PR System One Remstar 60 vs the AirSense 10? Thank you.
Re: Replacing an older machine
Based on comments here, they both are excellent machines. For me, the decision was easy: I responded better to the algorithm of one over the other.
Can you test drive both and see which suits your better?

In rare cases, the patient (possibly you) responds better (comfort level) on the same manufacturer's machine than on a different manufacturer's machine. So, if you can't test drive as suggested by araminta, then the safest path is to stay with the same manufacturer.
There appears to be no significant difference in therapy between ResMed and Respironics so from a therapy perspective, either will do nicely.

The AirSense 10, but not by a large margin.CynthiaAnne wrote:I am replacing an older machine and would like to know thoughts on the PR System One Remstar 60 vs the AirSense 10? Thank you.
Check the Useful Links in my signature line at the bottom of this post for more info on the right machine.
Be sure to get a PRS1 Pro or Auto, or an A10 Elite or AutoSet. There are a few models to be avoided.
I'd stay away from the Philips Respironics DreamStation until SleepyHead supports it or we get a new version of Encore Basic to read the data.

Re: Replacing an older machine
Before you get your new machine, ask yourself how well you are sleeping, or if you are waking up tired. I just got a new air sense 10 auto which I like. Now that I can see how well/poor I am doing everyday I see that my new machine isn't helping me. my AHI's range from 11 to 40 which isn't good. Sleepyhead software that I installed tells me daily to consult your doctor. I now have a sleep study scheduled.
