Airfit P10 Headgear Loosening Up
I love the fit of this nasal pillow, but the headgear is getting a bit stretched and loose. I know that many other forumers have this mask and therefore seek your enlightened suggestions.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Headgear replacement is pretty cheap if you buy from ebay sellers.

All I do is wash mine weekly and it shrinks right back up.

Hot water wash and rinse will help it shrink up some...eventually it may not shrink up enough but I added several months to my headgear with hot water washing and rinsing about once a month....really hot water.

How often do you find you end up having to replace the P10 headgear?

Re: Airfit P10 Headgear Loosening Up
My first one lasted approx 10 months before I couldn't get it small enough but bear in mind I wasn't using the "for Her" pink/gray headgear...I was using the regular size which is a little bit larger.WindCpap wrote:

Back when I first got the P10 we were told that the headgear was the same size so I got the blue regular.
Now it appears the pink for Her is a bit smaller.
I don't know how long I have been using this current headgear (for Her)...can't remember but at least early spring of this year. Haven't needed to shrink it up as often.
But even my old stretched out 10 month old blue headgear didn't go to waste...ran into someone with a really big head and my worn headgear fit him perfect.
I determined the headgear was tired when I started seeing more leaks than usual and a new nasal pillow didn't fix things...so I got a new headgear and that fixed things immediately. I was sleeping through some pretty ugly leaks.

Re: Airfit P10 Headgear Loosening Up
I replaced my headgear after about a year. Like another poster said, it was fairly cheap from Ebay. I didn't realize how much it had gotten stretched out until I compared the old and new one side by side. Definitely worth replacing.

When mine gets too loose, I wash it and run it through the drier with the rest of my wash. I'm not sure how long I have been using this one but it is a number of months.

i love this mask. after several years on cpap, this is the best one for me yet.
these are great suggestions for re-shaping the strapt. but it's very cheap to replace it.

Re: Airfit P10 Headgear Loosening Up
My wife cut mine on the side near the front, overlapped it about 1/4 inch and stuck it on the sewing machine, and for the last 3 or 4 months it's been like a new one.
