Canadian CPAP suppliers?

Post by vancity » Sat Oct 31, 2015 11:58 am

This is for the Canadians on this forum. (I'm in the Vancouver area)

Was wondering if any of you have ordered online for equipment/supplies from Canadian suppliers. Who do you think is most reliable/best pricing/service etc.

The US/Can $ exchange rate really puts a damper on ordering from the uSA.

These online suppliers are much much cheaper than the local CPAP retailers which charge double or more.

I'm am still using an old M Series, since 2009. Trying to find an affordable place to buy as I have no insurance and not much disposable income.

A couple I have found so far:

http://canadacpapsupply.com/ ( shipped from USA warehouse but pricing in Can.$)

http://www.papsmart.com/

Thx for any help

clinicalsleep.com... they are the biggest and best on the lower mainland.
Cpapoutlet.ca they are in Ontario
I have used both..... clinical sleep has sold me a new machine, and after almost two years of use it got noisy, called them and they shipped me a brand new one at no charge... I was and still am very impressed. I have bought masks and filters from both.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

I have bought a mask from them ( Clinical Sleep Solutions ) years ago. They are close by too but their pricing has gone up recently and much higher than online vendors. I think now they are charging almost $300 for a FF mask ( any brand ). Cost is a big factor for me, so I'm just trying to find the cheapest/best place to buy from. I'll check your other suggestion from Ontario.

Thx for the reply.

CPAPclinic.ca is also pretty cheap, apparently.

With the Canadian dollar in the tank, there are not really much that is significantly cheaper in the US than in Canada.

Machines are not actually cheaper. There are vendors selling a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for just over $1000 CDN. CPAP.com sells it for the equivalent of $1155.

I have found though that some masks (ie: F&P Eson and Simplus) as well as most accessories are cheaper.

EDIT: Another example: I've just been prescribed a Bi-Level Machine. The machine I want to purchase is the Aircurve 10 Auto VPAP. In Canada, it can be had for $1120 CDN. CPAP.COM sells it for the equivalent of $2258.

Greetings from Duncan on Vancouver Island:

I've had good experiences with the company you mentioned, canadacpapsupply.com. I can't offer any opinion on comparables, as that's the only company I have bought products from since going on CPAP therapy.
