What would you ask for

Post by DisorderedSleep » Fri Sep 18, 2015 12:39 pm

**I tried asking this earlier but was accused of spamming by one of the members here. I am not promoting a website or selling anything and I wont even give the website address because I don't want to be accused again. I just have a question that I would like positive replies to.

Earlier I contacted the owner of a website (the site is about CPAP and sleep apnea) that offered to give me something for signing up for their newsletter. Their offer was for a digital download that a person can take to their doctor to determine what was wrong with them. I don't want or need that so I asked if I could have something other than what they were offering. They answered and asked what I wanted. I have not replied yet but I want something that will be useful. I have been on CPAP and now BIPAP for 15+yrs so what should I ask for that I don't already have? If someone is going to give me something useful that I don't already have I am going to take it I just don't know what to ask for.

Why do you need anything from them? Free usually is there for a reason, it precludes a screwing. If this is truly what you were complaining about being removed, it may not have been SPAM, But, truly the point was to waste time. Jim

Why would you say that? Truth be told, you made your comment to try to provoke a stranger on the internet. You are the one on here wasting time. If you cant say something nice to a person then don't say anything at all. If you or anyone is offended by what I have posted, move on to another post or better yet, don't click on anything I post. It is simple.

If you are on the internet, you have the right to remain silent, but you may not have the ability.

The internet doesn't have a nice garrentee, I do tend to tell the truth though, many people can't handle it. Jim

It is a hook to get your info so they can spam you or maybe even steal your identity. Don't trust anything on the net. It is a true libertarian heaven "there is a sucker born every day and we are going to profit from the idiots!!!"

There is no free lunch out there, even the information here requires you to be an adult and work through the crap.

Even if we tried to answer you question, we could not. Do we know what you need, no. Are we going to look at their site and guess what you may like, no. Do we have any way to know what them might be willing to send you, no.

Do we want to take the time for each of us to list 20 items for you to choose from, no.

What they offered cost them ZERO and I don't see why they would agree to send you anything that costs them anything.

If you don't understand this, then oh well-have a good day

I would ask them to adopt Enchanter and to immediately take away his computer privileges.

Is this a clue in your profile? "Ask Believe and Receive"

Personally, I wouldn't ask for anything. That way I wouldn't feel like I was obligated to them for anything.

Dear Disorderedsleep,
You asked what people on this forum would ask for as a "free" item instead of the one that was being offered, so that you could then ask the author of a "free" newsletter to give it to you as long as it was something you wanted. You turned down their free gift, so the answer to your question is: nothing. Once the gift is rejected, the offer is no longer active as it has been already turned down. That is, unless one changes her mind and the original offer is still available.

Looking forward to any CPAP questions that you have as that is why I come here to read the posts, and to learn. Best wishes!

Junk email is like any other unsolicited trash.
I just keeps on "giving"; and you may never be able to shut it off.
Have fun.
