I just bought a smaller battery for shorter camp outs. I bought a 18 AH SLA Battery that weighs 11.9 pounds. The other one, in my original post, is so big and heavy that I find myself not wanting to take it on shorter camp outs. Most of the Boy Scout camp outs I go on are 1 and 2 nights and I find myself leaving my battery and CPAP behind, not wanting to lug the 60+ pound battery pack above with me. (even with the wheels) With only 12 pounds, this should be a non-issue. I will fit in in the same battery box and pack with some Styrofoam blocks to keep it from banging around.
Again, I calculated the use of my CPAP at .55amps/hour, which equals .55 * (2 nights * 8 hours) = 8.8 Amp Hours of needed power for just the cpap for two nights. With a 50% safety margin = 17.6 amp hours with a little extra for phone charging and maybe even my fan and light.
I will update the group when I take the new battery out for a spin.
