Bad smell

Post by Chilipepper » Sat Aug 08, 2015 6:46 am

It was several hours after I fell asleep that I awakened by this awful smell in my tube, it almost was a burning smell.but nothing was burning. Should I be worried? What could this have been?

It could be your humidifier if it ran out of water.

In order for people to give you better advice, please go to the User Control Panel and fill out the equipment profile.

Did you perhaps use up all the water in the water chamber (if you are using the humidifier with water in it)?

If the humidifier is on and the water gets used up the plastic in the water chamber will get hot and it stinks something awful. I have had it happen on more than one occasion when I have forgotten to add water at bedtime.

My tank only needs to go quite low for it to smell icky. Going dry smells even worse.
Adding water helps, but it takes a few minutes for the funky air to flush out of the hose.
