Sleep schedule off?

Post by navyasw02 » Sat Jul 25, 2015 9:41 am

I just got a CPAP and I feel much better, but my sleep schedule is off. I'm sleeping on average 1-1.5 hours less than I did before. Anybody else notice that?

yes ... I get better rest with less hours of sleep.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

For many, that would be normal since you are actually sleeping now instead of getting interrupted all night long.

You were sleeping longer before Cpap to try and get rested, but doing it just made things worse because you kept having apneas all night - and now you don't.

So when you wake up, do you try to go back to sleep after a break?

I try, but I cant. Usually once I'm up, I'm up.

I can't believe people are answering this without knowing the amount of sleep you are getting.

From what you wrote, you could be sleeping 22 hours, down from 23.5.

Or, you could be sleeping one hour, down from 2.5 hours.

What is it?

Entirely typical of what many experience. I agree with the others.

What you may experience a ways down the road is that you'll crave more (good) sleep and you'll start sleeping longer.

You probably have a "sleep debt" to pay off and at some point the payments will get easier to make.
