ok so last night I turned on my machine to go to bed and the machine was not on a minute when my mom called me that she had left her keys in her house. So i turned off the machine but noticed that the humidifier light stayed on orange and the screen said cooing down or something to that affect. I went to my moms house and my wife called me about 15 minutes later that the light was still on. In the morning when I turn it off I do not see the orange light not sure if its because its day time and I dont see it but I told her to just unplug the machine.
Now my question is do these machines get messed up by turning them on and off like that? Also does the light on the humidifier suppose to stay one like that?
thanks..

Re: Turning machine on and off and H5i humidifier light
My machine does the same. I do turn it off in the night several times when I go to the bathroom and before I take the mask off. When I return I switch it on again and mount the mask. The lights and humidifier warming and cooling are the same as you described.

Re: Turning machine on and off and H5i humidifier light
The S9 series has LED lights inside the humidifier that light up during heat-up and cool-down.
If the lights are annoying, you can apply duck tape to the window.
Resmed left these lights off the Airsense 10 series.

Re: Turning machine on and off and H5i humidifier light
The manual for the humidifier talks about this. The fan continues to blow until the heat plate cools off.
The light should only come on when you turn off the machine (remove the mask) and stay on for a short time though, less than a minute.

if you start up (or maybe only if you use the warmup feature, and then shut it off shortly after starting, it will stay on for a while, and show a cooldown timer.Krelvin wrote:The manual for the humidifier talks about this. The fan continues to blow until the heat plate cools off.
