I happened to notice this ad in my local Craigslist...really a good deal for someone.

Not bad, LSAT. The best thing about the new ResMed AirSense auto models hitting the marketplace is that it will soon be driving down the price of the ResMed S9s. I don't happen to use ResMeds or need one, however I think there will be some super deals coming up pretty soon

Why is he selling it? I mean, it seems like a good deal but 1) does it work? 2) why is he selling? 3) does he own it? If it's Medicare or some insurances, it's like a rent to own thing. Does he actually own it?

If it seems legit and works...attach your mask to it and make sure it does....then go for it. I assume your insurance does not pay for them.

I have a AirSense 10 Autoset and I love it.

It happens. This has happened to me twice in several past years. It could be a 'hot' machine. It could be a failure in compliance. Maybe somebody died... and so on and so forth.

Be sure, if you consider buying it, to use PayPal... at least that gives you some protections, tho it's a hassle to file a complaint with PayPal. Viewing and testing the machine in person is always the best idea; do it in a neutral place like a coffee shop etc.
