I do that too!!!! I like the reaction of small children. Funny to see them run! Farting has an ancient biological usefulness. I think it was used to keep small furry animals from getting too close.palerider wrote:Enchanter wrote:No please do not put words in my mouth. I had a roommate once that loved telling people when he farted.

As someone whose nickname is Cranky I claim standing in this discussion
The neuro-pharmacologist/psychologist who diagnosed and successfully treated the cause
of my life-long intermittent depressions pointed out that cranky is a symptom.
Once freed of the 50+years of biological predisposition, I was able to see my own behavior
more clearly and better deal with some poor social habits I had accumulated.
When I feel compelled to chastise someone I try to pause and remind myself that:
it isn't really about me;
not everyone who makes a comment needs the benefit of my wisdom;
not everyone who irritates me requires correction;
I am not actually obligated to maintain standards in organizations or groups;
and finally,
in the words of the Dalai Lama, "What wisdom can you find that is better than kindness?"

Sinus pressure hurts worse when I lay down. Maybe your cold is a sinus infection? Try a netti pot. Youtube has videos on how to use one.
Morbius, are you bored?

Good points, spot on. And kindness. What a concept. The opposite of bullying.
